Darlington, April 2 -- After an illness of almost a year with complication of diseases, Alfred H. Woody passed away early this morning at his home here. Mr. Woody was a retired farmer and one of the very highly respected citizens of the county. He was the son of Nathan and Ruth Woody and was born October 12, 1850 in North Carolina. The deceased is survived by his widow, two sons, John Woody at home and Walter Woody, Tipton; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Flannigam of Darlington and Miss Clara Woody, a teacher in the Crawfordsville High School. Three brothers also survive, Rev. Gerney Woody and Elwood Woody of Darlington and Hugh Woody of California. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church at 2 o'clock with interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Woody was an elder in the local M.E.
